The Trustees of Northern Rock Foundation yesterday approved the formal closure of the Foundation and will now proceed to wind up the charitable company. Between January 1998 and January 2016 the Foundation awarded £235.8 million in 4,417 grants and other awards. Information on the Foundation’s history and grant making and work of the Foundation, its final legacy projects and copies of all its publications, research and resources are available on its website www.nr-foundation.org.uk.
All published reports have been given to Tyne and Wear Archives and will be publicly available. Other papers and information about the Foundation have also been given to Tyne and Wear Archives and will become available in the future.
